To draw the target number of tourists, he emphasized the need to supply twice as many hotel rooms, make air travel more reasonable, and diversify the types of tourist attractions.

In an effort to increase tourism, Egypt has lowered the requirements for tourist visas for a number of nations, including China, Iran, India, Turkey, Morocco, and Algeria.

The industry is a significant source of hard currency for the nation.

The country's tourist industry was severely impacted by the COVID-19 epidemic, with visitor numbers falling from 13.1 million in 2019 to 3.7 million in 2020.

However, over the past two years, the industry has begun to rebound, and in 2021 and 2022, respectively, there will be eight million and 11.7 million more tourists.

    Egypt projects a 15 million-person total by 2023.
